Hi! I’m Mayerlin, but I go by Ms. Mayer. It’s a true blessing to be part of Aventuras—a place that reflects my values and passion for nurturing children. I believe in guiding little ones with love, encouragement, and consistency, and I strive to be a positive role model every day.
As a native Spanish speaker, I’m excited to support bilingual families and help children grow in both language and confidence. I’m a proud mom of two daughters—one a college graduate, the other studying psychology—and recently became a grandmother, which has deepened my calling to this work.
Outside of the classroom, I love spending time in nature and connecting with others. I look forward to building strong relationships with families and creating a space where every child feels safe, loved, and excited to learn.
Hola! I’m María Lugones, but I go by Mary. I’m originally from Cuba and have been living in Minnesota for three years—a beautiful chapter in my life that led me to Aventuras. I’m currently working toward my CDA and stepping into early childhood education with deep gratitude and purpose.
My background includes administrative work, teaching, and dance ministry. I’ve always felt called to support children’s emotional, physical, and spiritual growth, and I see each day as an opportunity to reflect God’s love through care and consistency.
I enjoy worshiping through music and movement with my husband, attending church, and exploring topics like finance and administration. My goal is to create a nurturing environment where children feel secure, inspired, and ready to grow.
Hi! I’m Mercedes, originally from Cuba and now happily rooted in Minnesota. My journey has included teaching educational technology to young children, assisting at a dual-language school, and working in the restaurant industry. I’m currently pursuing my CDA and excited to return to the classroom full-time.
I believe children are like sponges—ready to absorb love, learning, and encouragement. My daughter and nieces were my first students and continue to inspire my passion for education. I’m honored to support children’s development in a faith-based setting and help build a joyful, connected community.
Outside of work, I love cooking Cuban food, hosting friends over coffee, and crafting DIY gifts with my daughter. I dream of traveling more—especially a safari adventure someday!
Let me know if you’d like a short intro paragraph to introduce the team or if you want these formatted for a flyer, handbook, or signage. Happy to keep refining!
